ISLAMABAD: Gallup Pakistan conducted public opinion polls on a number of recent political developments including the split-up of the ruling collation, the issue of deposed judges, the available political options for Leader of Lawyers’ Movement, Aitzaz Ahsan, Government’s reconciliation with the local Taliban and Performance ratings of the Prime Minister.
The findings of these polls are given below. The sample for the survey comprised 1595 men and women distributed in the rural and urban areas of all four provinces. They represented a cross section of various age, income and other socio-economic backgrounds. The field-work was conducted face to face during May 18-19, 2008. The error margin in this type of survey is estimated to be 3-5% at a 95% confidence level.
PART 2 of this survey focusing on social issues including views on “Mob Justice” to Robbers and change of clock for daylight saving will be released early next week.
