Only 18% believe in the Efficacy of their vote to cause social change. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan only 18% believe in the Efficacy of their vote to cause social change.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked. Do you agree or disagree that your vote in the elections does not impact decisions about the major problems of the country? Responding to this 39% appear to be Skeptics; they completely agree with the statement that their vote during elections does not impact the decisions related to the major problems of the country; 35% are Partial Skeptics, they somewhat agree with the same statement. On the other hand 18% are Hopefuls. They disagree with the statement and believe that their vote can impact decisions about major problems of the country. However 8% did not give a view.
