According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 13% Pakistanis believe that the elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were very fair and transparent; 42% believe that these were somewhat fair.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people think that the elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were fair and transparent, while others believe the opposite. To what extent, do you think, were the elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fair and transparent?” In response to this question, 13% of the respondents claimed that the elections were very fair, 42% claimed the elections were somewhat fair, 22% claimed that they were very little fair and 20% claimed that the elections were not fair at all. 3% respondents did not respond.
According to the provincial breakdown, the perceived fairness of the elections was 41% in KPK. In comparison, the perceived fairness of the elections was 64% in Punjab, 48% in Sindh and 15% in Balochistan.
