According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 70% Pakistanis say that a member of their household was contacted by a party candidate/worker during the recent local government elections.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell, before the recent local body elections, did any election candidate/party member/party worker in your area contact any member from your household?” In response to this question, 70% said yes while 29% said no and 1% said that there were no local government elections in their area.
