Gallup Pakistan is releasing this press release in relation to the upcoming US Presidential elections. This press release is associated with the global poll conducted by WIN / Gallup International Association in 44 countries (42,860 respondents) of the world. According to the survey in Pakistan carried out by Gallup Pakistan, majority (50%) Pakistanis believe that the election of new American President will have a very high impact on Pakistan.

A nationally representative sample of 1000 men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How much, in your view, is the impact of American election on your country, on issues such as economic progress, trade, peace etc. In other words, how much is the impact of American President on what happens in your country?” In response to this question, 50% said the American President will have a very high impact on Pakistan, 25% said high impact, 14% said small impact, 7% said no impact. 4% did not know or did not wish to respond. These results show that majority Pakistanis believe the outcome of the American election will tend to have a very high impact on the country in terms of economic progress, trade, peace etc.
