According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, a substantial majority of Pakistanis (90%) believe that honest and free/fair elections play a very important role to help ordinary Pakistanis live a good life.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked. Some people think that having honest and free/fair elections makes a lot of difference in their lives; others think that it doesn’t matter much. Do you think that honest and free/fair elections play an important role in deciding whether you and your family are able to live a good life? Responding to this, 46% believe that honest elections are very important to help them live a good life, 44% it is rather important while 7% believe it is not very important. However, 2% believe that honest elections are not at all important.
