84% of Pakistanis are optimistic that following the elections, a better political regime will be introduced. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 84% of Pakistanis are optimistic that following the elections, a better political regime will be introduced.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked. In your view, will or will not the recent elections produce a better political regime? Responding to this, 84% said yes and 15% said no. However, 1% did not give a response.

A comparison between rural and urban localities shows that respondents from rural areas are more optimistic about the future political regime (87%) compared with respondents from urban areas (79%).
