According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 11% of voters say they make their choice on the basis of candidate’s piety and religiosity.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked. What is the most important reason for which you have chosen the candidate you want to vote for in the upcoming elections? I am giving you seven options, kindly think and tell me which one is most important for you. Responding to this 11% claim that they will vote for the candidate who is religious and pious.
